I don't think people realise that PS4 HAS to be 100% fully backwards compatible with PS3. Main reason being PSN and the large amounts of money people have spent on it this gen. It's a fully unified service now so basically PS4.....since it's going to have to be using the same PSN.....we're all going to be using the same PSN IDs......every single digital game that works on PS3 is going to HAVE to work on PS4. That is going to be demanded right off the bat or people won't bu...

Yeah.....us violent Americans. I wish we would stop running over buddhist monks with tanks, beheading villages full of women and children, strpping bombs to ourselves and detonating it with the pure intent of killing as many innocent people as possible, stoning 11 year old girls to death because they don't want to cover their face, or want an education, or have a boyfriend, or have any views of their own, or reports their father raping them to the police.......I really hate how we America...

And even contrary to what this author states, this "debate" (more like typical left wing Nazi-ism, sometimes even coming from right wingers.....more proof that behind closed doors both sides have the same agenda) started long before even Mortal Kombat/Doom days. I remember when they were trying to say the same exact thing basically about Dungeons and Dragons. These people were really arguing that D&D was making us Satan worshipers and murderers sacrificing children to our secret...

The part that angers me about M$'s policy is not that they have it......they're a company and they have the right to make any policy they please......it's that developers actually abide that policy and allow themselves to be strong armed into not developing a game as good as it can be for each particular platform.

The game developers hold the power, not the console manufacturers. It's been well know since like the NES era that the console makers make all their...

I agree that there no being at least a mode with regular health bars was a major thing that put off potential customers. I know that's one of the major reasons I was put off.

But I think the major reason the game failed was that it was being looked at by Sony as a Blockbuster they could sell as a full $60 retail game, but all SuperBot created was a $20-$30 brawler. For All-Stars to be worth $60 it needed a roster of like 50 characters, and that's not exaggerating or w...

I kinda think you're wrong.....about this gen anyway. I think it's long from over, even if "next gen" starts far sooner than I thought it would (I thought Fall 2014).

I'm starting to think that we're going to see the same games coming out for PS4/X720 and PS3/360 for FAR longer than we got cross-gen games in all previous console generations. Yeah.....PS3 and 360 are behind newer hardware and can't run the newest games on the highest settings com...

The only WWE game I've been wanting is the console version of WrestleFest. Does this mean Take2 will now be punlishing it? I know it can't be totally cancelled even though nothing has been said publically about it, because from what I hear, DLC actually released for it on the UK PSN even though the game hasn't launched yet.

Can anyone with a UK account check out that DLC (if it didn't get pulled) and see who the publisher is? I've been dying to know what&#...

1) Abandoning Monster Hunter's entire established fanbase for Wii's install base. EVen after announcing a PS3 Monster Hunter at E3 06. Then in 07 you cancel it because "PS3 is too expensive to develop for".......Really?....... you say this while at the same time putting development $ into obvious crap like Dark Void and a PS3 port of Lost Planet which no PS3 fan wanted in the first place? You would have looked like less decietfull scumbags of you just fessed up that it was a...

Games launch "when they're ready".

Consoles launch when the market's ready.

And I don't think the market's ready for new console hardware just yet.
I think the market's ready for new consoles to be announced, but not even close to ready for release.

Game development takes alot of time as well, and most devs are still busy with current gen hardware with big games scheduled to come out through the Fall.

Yea, I never would have bought LBPKarting. I was even considering it with the $20 sale this week at Best Buy but I decided against it. I'm not much of a LBP fan, and I prefer realistic karting (GT5), so it's not worth $20 to me. But for $10, that's cheap enough for the racing fan in me to make an impulse buy on a racing game I may not like.....something I NEVER do anyway. I never gamble on racing games. But $10 for a Play Create Share racing game is worth the gamble. I won't b...

This game really isn't "next-gen". It's the peak of current gen. Some PS3 screens have been released (leaked?), and they looked very good, just a bit more jaggie. But after the release (leak), the developer said something like it's early console build with little-to-no post proccessing. That's just what I recall. It was a couple/few months ago those screens came out. So I'm pretty confident that the PS3/360 versions of this game will be very high quality.

Actually xursz, that's the old way installs work. Most newer devices don't need double the space for the older process of download>install>delete download. Like the Vita doesn't need double the space. You download the file and when you start it up for the first time it just does a very quick install process and you play. And I havn't used my PSP in a long time except to use my digital comics, but I don't think that needed double the space to download and install. And...

Gran Turismo 5 is my prefered brand of karting. Though I guess that's a different kind of karting than Mario Kart or LBP/MNR karting. I don't know if it's really comparable being a realistic karting experience instead of a CARToony one, but it works for me.

OK, I know this is day old news now, but I'm excited for a couple reasons.

1) This is the first LEGO game I've actually wanted since Star Wars (Though Lord of the Rings looks good, I just havn't decided). Everyone has said Lego Marvel would be ideal, but as GI says, no one thought it could really happen because of the relationship between WB and DC.

It also shows that making fans happy and making money trumps other, smaller things like....oh, say...

I find it very odd that this author is so inspired by this particular track, which I understand, I love this track too though personally I prefer it in reverse......that he would put together this fairly well written little editorial piece that showcases one of the countless reasons Gran Turismo is so loved by real racing fans.......but makes no mention of Nessy, The Loch Ness Monster making an appearance in the GT5 iteration of Trial Mountain. As a GT fan, that's now a huge (though recen...

I don't know that I've seen anyone say Last of Us looks to be any kind of holy grail of innovation. What it looks like to me, is a game that is on the cutting edge of polish, like many PS3 exclusive have been when they've come out. It's graphics and animation are another step beyond Uncharted 2/3. It's at least touted to have a rich and deep choice system, and everything about the game just seems to OOZE pride, workmanship and polish. Innovation I don't see.....but wha...

The thumbnail image is fitting for me because one of my biggest surprises of 2012 was that FINALLY, after 23 years (give or take) The Simpsons Arcade Game was released to home consoles. And on top of that Sony gave it to me at no (extra) charge through Plus. It's also on sale right now on PSN for anyone interested.

The Walking Dead was obviously the big surprise of the year. I would have bought it anyway, but that it was so good was a great bonus. As an adventure game gen...

Right, but it's not called Dragon's Crown anymore. It's the new name I don't know.

To be honest this is not the game I thought it was going to be when I read the title. I was expecting that 2-D side-scrolling beat'em-up RPG. I know the game I'm thinking of had it's name changed, so I though this was going to be that game. I was really hoping to see more of that.

I like these games too though. I miss Champions of Norrath, and other games in that genre, and I still play Sacred 2. But whether I get this game or not will depend on the price. I think...
